Accessibility

Based on the uncertainty surrounding the timing of the state‚Äôs reopening guidelines and limitations around large gatherings, the University will not be able to effectively plan for an August commencement ceremony for our May 2020 graduates. Therefore, we are moving forward to determine whether an in-person ceremony that will comply with state guidelines can occur in December. We expect to finalize plans by the end of September.

Drop-off area

A drop-off area is available at the West Entrance of the James H. Barnhardt Student Activity Center (Dale F. Halton Arena) for graduates and guests with limited mobility. Once on campus, follow the signs and tell traffic personnel that you wish to use the arena's drop-off area. Staff will be available to assist. Wheelchair transportation will also be available for individuals who can transfer to a seat. Individuals who cannot transfer to a seat and need to remain in a wheelchair must bring their own. Wheelchairs are generally available for short-term rental from medical supply stores and some pharmacies.
