You may pick up your cap and gown (and hood if master's or doctoral candidate) at the Barnes and Noble bookstore located in the Popp Martin Student Union beginning with the first day of the Commencement Fair on Wednesday, April 1. The deadline to pick up your cap and gown is Monday, April 27. After the April 27 deadline, sizes are not guaranteed.
There is no additional cost for your cap and gown (and hood, if applicable). Gowns are sized by height so there is no need for special measuring; they tend to run short so if you prefer a longer look, select a gown that is an inch or two longer than your actual height. Caps are one size fits all. For a nominal fee, your cap and gown can be shipped directly to you from Oak Hall beginning April 13. Please check back in March for the link to the order form. Contact the Bookstore by email at email@example.com or call 704-687-7050 for questions regarding your cap and gown.
Please bring your UNC Charlotte student ID card when picking up your cap and gown. If you do not have a student ID, please bring a government-issued photo ID and know your 800#.
For undergraduates, if your cumulative grade point average has earned you Graduation with Distinction (Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Cum Laude) you may purchase the appropriate honor cord at the bookstore. Please note: Final determination of graduation with honors is made upon completion of the student's final term. Therefore, the honor may change based on the final semester grades.

For doctoral candidates, you may pick up your regalia beginning April 1 at the Commencement Fair. The deadline to pick up your regalia is Monday, April 27. Some doctoral candidates who will need regalia in their professional careers may opt to purchase custom gowns, hoods, and tams. If so, please contact Linda Burke at 704-687-7072 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Custom regalia orders need to be placed on or before Friday, April 3 and will receive a 10% discount.
