Dear UNC Charlotte Class of 2020,
We share in your disappointment that we are not able to celebrate the Commencement ceremonies in person this week. However, that won’t stop us from taking this opportunity as a University community to acknowledge and commemorate the years of hard work and sacrifices you have made to achieve this milestone in your life.
Our hope is that you will be able to attend a future ceremony where we will celebrate the successful completion of your journey as a UNC Charlotte student and welcome you into the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association. Until that day comes, we hope you are able to enjoy these special commencement messages — one for graduates of The Graduate School; for Belk College of Business, the College of Computing and Informatics, and the Cato College of Education graduates; for College of Arts + Architecture, The William States Lee College of Engineering, and the College of Health and Human Services graduates; and one for the graduates of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences — and this online edition of the Class of 2020 commemorative commencement program. We’re mailing you a hard copy, as well.
We are so proud of our newest graduates and how you have come together as a class to support one another during this challenging time. The enduring spirit of Niner Nation is one of resilience, which you continue to display daily.
Congratulations and best wishes,
Philip L. Dubois
Greetings from the Chancellor
Today marks a major milestone in your life. It represents the culmination of many years of hard work, both for you as graduates and for your parents, family members, and friends, and all who have invested in your success including UNC Charlotte faculty and staff. While we may not be together in Halton Arena today due to COVID-19, UNC Charlotte is so proud of your individual and collective accomplishments, and we want to celebrate you and your accomplishments virtually.
Greetings from the Graduating Class
