Please note that all guests must have a ticket to enter the Student Activity Center (SAC).

The commencement ceremonies will be live-streamed. The link will be posted Thursday, May 9, on this page.

Ticket Reservation

• Mobile tickets for May 2024 Commencement are now available to reserve until 5 p.m. Monday, April 29.
• Undergraduate ceremonies: Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m., Friday, May 10 at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 11 at 10 a.m.
  • Students may reserve up to eight (8) mobile tickets. 
• Graduate ceremony: Saturday, May 11 at 3 p.m.
  • Students may reserve up to seven (7) mobile tickets.
• Only students who reserve tickets by the Monday, April 29, deadline are guaranteed tickets.

To reserve your mobile tickets, complete the following steps:

• Visit Charlotte Athletics to access the Student Ticket page. 
• Select Sign In as Student. You will be redirected to the University Web Authentication page.
• Enter your NinerNET credentials if you have not done so already. You will be redirected to the My Account page.
• Select Students, then Commencement. Your ceremony/ceremonies will be displayed. 
• For registration or login assistance, please email niner@charlotte.edu or call 704-687-4949.
• Tickets will be ready to access and transfer on Tuesday, April 30. Each graduating student will receive a message from “Charlotte 49ers Athletics” with detailed instructions. This is the time when students sign back into their accounts and transfer tickets to guests. Any guest receiving transferred tickets will also need to create or sign in to an account with Charlotte 49er Athletics to access transferred tickets.
• Additional Tickets: Students will be notified on May 1 if additional tickets are available.

Additional Information

• ADA Seating: ADA guest seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • If ADA seating is needed, guests must pick up an ADA pass in the SAC food court. One companion seat is available if needed. Staff will be available at the information tables to assist with securing an ADA pass. Once you enter the SAC, the information tables will be at each entrance.
• Arena Access: All guests need a ticket to enter the Student Activity Center (SAC). Doors open 90 minutes prior to the ceremony.
• Arena Policy: The arena has a clear bag policy. Backpacks, umbrellas and balloons are not permitted.
• Assembly Area: Only graduating students and commencement personnel are permitted in the commencement assembly and seating areas and may participate in the commencement procession and ceremony. If a personal assistant is required as a disability accommodation, please contact the Office of Disability Services.
• Children two years of age or younger and who will sit on a person’s lap do not need a ticket. All other guests will need a ticket.
